Yevgeny Grishin, a disciple of the Turkmen art school, graduated in 1982 from the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin , specializing in the theory and history of art. He has exhibited his paintings and graphic works at various exhibitions in Turkmenistan and abroad starting from 1972. Yevgeny Grishin joined the Artists’ Union of Turkmenistan in 1986. He worked a lot and fruitfully as an art critic. He published numerous articles and research papers in the press and some editions.Today, the paintings by Yevgeny Petrovich Grishina adorn many showrooms in Turkmenistan. Landscapes and still life take special place among the works of the master. The love for life, people and nature is also clearly seen in his works. The current exhibition features more than 60 paintings and drawings. Among them are the landscape and still life series of works called “Give Flowers to Women!”, “White Roses of Ashgabat”, “Fruits of Turkmen Land.” The painter’s magnificent works show man’s joy and happiness because of clear sky and bright sun, honest work and pleasures of life. One can also see the traces of his loyalty to the academic traditions, the desire to understand the world and mood of human happiness.
